To promote Lucky Charms’ Marshmallows-Only giveaway, General Mills tasked The Mint Studio and Pixel Farm to create a campaign of broadcast, web, and social content playing on the exclusivity of the winners club. In fact, a whopping 15,000 boxes of the elusive rainbow and unicorn marshmallows were up for grabs, and all participants had to do was purchase a regular box of Lucky Charms to enter the contest.
The collaboration with The Mint was a blast, and the production and post were a breeze. Oddly, the biggest challenge of the project was sourcing just the right rainbow-striped blazers. After an exhaustive search, we decided to make them the old school way: painting them by hand in an automotive spray booth.
