Pixel Farm is a full service post-production studio specializing in visual effects, finishing, animation, design, film transfer, color correction, music, sound design, sound mix, editorial, DVD, Blu-Ray and duplication services for broadcast commercials, feature films, music video, corporate communications and new media.
In addition to their standard-definition (SD) and high-definition (HD) work, they also record and produce custom audio and music as well as digital interactive work for web and desktop consumption.
Pixel Farm Senior Designer Rich Haesemeyer stared at the vast expanse of the 54,000 sq. foot video board before him. “That’s one hell of a canvas.” With that, the team at Pixel Farm dove into the creative effort full bore. With Opening Day counting down on a billboard blocks away, a twenty-five person team gathered in the conference room of Pixel Farm’s warehouse district offices. Designers, animators, editors, sound designers, and music composers would collaborate to produce a visually stunning game experience for the Twins’ new home at Target Field.
The initiative was daunting. 90 players to shoot, 29 MLB teams to version, a myriad of situational graphics, and a historic opening sequence, each synced to music and sound, and designed to play on five state-of-the-art display technologies – all within a three month production window.
How did it turn out? Sample some of the work at left. Or better yet, get out to a ballgame and see for yourself!
